UREA-Xpress – the new standard for cleaner, smarter, safer UREA supply
Marine Care, in an exclusive partnership with Yara, is proud to introduce UREA-Xpress, a custom-built 600 m³ barge specially designed for safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of NOxCare™ to the marine industry. Loading directly from Yara’s Sluiskil terminal, UREA-Xpress will have its home base in the port of Rotterdam. It eliminates the need for additional transport, storage and handling, as well as reducing the use of plastic and CO2 emissions. Saving 80% of time and increasing operational and crew safety, supply by barge becomes a game changer and the obvious choice for sustainable operations.
UREA-Xpress builds on the success of our pioneering TIER III in Houston, which proved that barge delivery of urea is faster, safer, and greener and at the same time dramatically reducing bunkering time and cost.
Capacity: 600m3 (Equivalent to 25 Tanks Truck/600 IBC)
Pumping rate: Up to 100m3/hour
Tank truck supply: UREA-Xpress replaces 25 tank trucks pr loading, reducing road congestion, working hours and CO₂ emissions.
IBC supply: UREA-Xpress eliminates the need for 600 IBC containers, saving 30-40 tons of packaging material and thousands of crane/truck lifts pr loading (One IBC contains 20kg HDPC plastic and 35-40 kg steel and are typically lifted 2-4 times per supply)
